'The mouth that drew in sunlight', new work by Gabrielle Curry
23 Apr 2026 – 22 May 2026
In 'The mouth that drew in sunlight', Gabrielle Curry explores movement across spaces as a way of understanding, tracing the landscapes the artist has occupied and passed through. Through layered markings and gestures, a visual language emerges—capturing traces of presence, memory, and transition.
At its core is the dynamic relationship between people and space. Environments are activated through occupation, shaped by energy and movement, while simultaneously influencing those within them. Themes of permeability and flow run throughout, suggesting a continuous exchange where space and human presence bring each other to life.
